Department of Education is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
We are committed to continuous improvement and deliver VET to secondary students
throughout Northern Territory Schools. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic people
with specific industry experience to specialise in horse and cattle as part of our rural operations
and agriculture accredited programs we are offering at Tennant Creek High School.
This role has the responsibility for the delivery of competency based training and assessment
of nationally accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs including face to
face delivery and ensuring national standards are maintained within the school environment.

The Successful applicant will hold skills and experience:
• Qualifications and/or Vocational Competence in Rural Operations and Agriculture
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40110 or TAE40116
• Minimum x 2 years current industry experience in Rural Operations and/or Agriculture
specialising in horse and cattle handling
• In-depth understanding of ASQA regulatory guidelines and standards

This Aboriginal Identified Position is responsible for providing practical expertise in
consultation, research and other tasks associated with the use of Aboriginal land by
Traditional Owners (TO) to enhance outcomes for the Tennant Creek Region. The successful
candidate will assist the facilitation and organisation of meetings and provide logistical
support for TO within the Region. The successful candidate will also have knowledge and
understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and the issues affecting Aboriginal
people in the Barkly Region.

Barkly Regional Council advises that the
following roads will temporarily be closed
between 6.15-7.15am on Friday, 26 January
2018 for the Australia Day Triathlon.
The northbound lane of Ambrose Street,
from the Peko Road roundabout to the
intersection with Stuart Street, the eastbound
lane of Stuart Street to the corner of Perry
Drive, the southbound lane of Perry Drive to
the corner of Peko Road and the westbound
lane of Peko Road to the swimming pool
carpark will be closed.
Traffic management and detours will be in
place. Please adhere to all directions.

AUSTRALIA DAY 2018
VENUE CHANGE AND
The Australia Day 2018 Triathlon will now
start from the Tennant Creek Swimming
Pool with a 200m swim, followed by a
2km run and 2km bike ride.
Participants are urged to arrive at the
swimming pool entrance no later than 6am as
the Triathlon will start at 6.15am sharp.
