DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE, PLANNING AND LOGISTICS
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST DEVELOPMENT
Expressions of interest are invited from persons interested in
appointment as a (community) Member of the Development Consent
Authority. The appointments will commence on 12 April 2018 and will
be for a two year period.
There are seven Divisions of the Authority - Darwin, Palmerston,
Litchfield, Batchelor, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs which
determine development applications within their respective Division
area in accordance with the Planning Act and NT Planning Scheme.
Each division has four members, two of whom are appointed directly by
the Minister to represent the general community.
In considering the expression of interest for the positions, the Minister
will take into account the applicant’s place of residence and
expertise or special interest in town planning or related
fields such as land administration, engineering, surveying,
architectural design, land valuation;
oral and written communication skills;
ability to make sound and balanced judgements;
knowledge of related subjects;
commitment to continuing growth and development of the
Territory consistent with good planning principles, and
capacity to attend meetings of the Authority.

An abandoned bus without registration plates
has been left at the back of the Tennant Creek
Bowling Club for more than two years.
If the vehicle is not removed within 28 days of
this notice, Council will remove and dispose of it
at a cost to the owner.
The owner will also bear the cost of any
newspaper advertising required by Council to
advise the need for an abandoned vehicle to be

The ideal candidate will:
• Develop trusting professional mentoring relationships with your caseload of participants;
• Develop and facilitate Employment Pathway Plans for each participant
on your caseload that focuses on employment and career aspirations;
• Develop and grow strong relationships with employers;
• Engage with and develop relationships with CDP providers and other stakeholders;
• Ensure access to resources and services for jobseekers that will
enable them to be prepared for the training and work environment;
• Have strong communication and report writing skills, and be highly organised; and
• Demonstrate a high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,
and the ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures.
