The Corporate Services Support Officer has a vital role in
providing general and corporate administrative support within
the Corporate Services team. The role is varied and ensures
that corporate services operations function efficiently and

• Information Technology
• Asset Management
• Health, Safety and Environment System

SAFETY AND ASSET MANAGER
This position is responsible for providing operational and
advisory support to the organisation in the
implementation, management and evaluation of the
integrated Quality Management System, Risk Management
processes and Health, Safety and Environmental Program
The position includes the implementation and maintenance
of safety and quality plans and procedures that allow the
organisation to respond to industry standards, relevant
legislation and current best practice.
The position is also responsible for managing and
maintaining physical and portable assets to ensure they
meet legislative requirements, our asset management
obligations and, policy and procedures.

Youth Accommodation Centre open for applications
THE Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation’s Youth
Accommodation Centre (YAC) is now open and
The YAC has individual ensuited rooms for up to 16
residents, including two-wheel chair accessible units.
The Managers and resident houseparents, Wayne
and Royleen Wolski live onsite and are available to
assist residents with day to day issues such as gaining
their learner’s permit or driver’s licences, and learning
basic skills including keeping a neat and tidy residence
and budgeting. They pride themselves in providing
a safe and happy environment where residents feel
The facility is drug and alcohol free and provides
accommodation for young single Indigenous people
aged 18 to 25 who are in training or work. It recently
accommodated the students of the Jemena Gas
Operator Training Course, and it is envisaged
that in the near future additional courses such as
Construction and Community Services will be offered.
The students will be able to be housed on site for
the duration of the courses and given both academic
and pastoral support.
The grounds of the YAC are currently receiving a
major upgrade and the staff of the Julalikari Land
Management Unit are building ecofriendly adobe
gardens including fruit trees and bush tucker plants.

“It has made a lot of difference because the houses
were very old and it is nicer for clients and visitors
who come in and need to speak to you,” she said.
“Before, it was very old and dilapidates whereas
now, it’s all very nice and fresh.
“It makes us feel really good.”
