COMMUNITY SURVEY - PUBLIC ALLEYWAYS
Barkly Regional Council has received a number of complaints from residents
regarding the pedestrian alleyways between houses in Tennant Creek.
We have set up a quick survey asking the public for feedback.

Karen Sheldon Employment Services is looking for an Employment
Services Officer to assist Indigenous jobseekers in our VTEC
Program transition to sustainable employment in Tennant Creek.
The ideal candidate will:
• Develop trusting professional mentoring
relationships with your caseload of participants;
• Develop and facilitate Employment Pathway Plans for each participant
on your caseload that focuses on employment and career aspirations;
• Develop and grow strong relationships with employers;
• Engage with and develop relationships with
CDP providers and other stakeholders;
• Ensure access to resources and services for jobseekers that will enable
them to be prepared for the training and work environment;
• Have strong communication and report
writing skills, and be highly organised; and
• Demonstrate a high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,
and the ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures.

Local Trainer & Mentor Positions
In late July we will be commencing a three-year
rollout of the Future Stars Indigenous Aspirations
Program. Concurrently we wish to train local people
to deliver this empowering Course.

Probuild (NT) Pty Ltd has been awarded the Tennant Creek Preschool demolition and construction
project, under a head contract with NT Government Department of Infrastructure, Planning &
In the coming weeks, the project team will begin preparation works for construction. Please be
assured that we are working hard to minimise construction impacts on residents and businesses,
and that we are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
The project is scheduled to take 24 weeks. During the project, construction works will be carried
out between to the hours of 6am – 6pm. Your patience and cooperation is appreciated while the
works are under way.
