Studies Assistance Grants Scheme
The Department of Health (DoH) supports the
educational preparation of a nursing and midwifery
workforce that is confident and competent to practice
within the unique and culturally diverse health care
environment of the Northern Territory.
All nurses and midwives currently employed, and
students intending to be employed in NT health services
(public, private and NGO), are eligible to apply. Priority
is given to applicants undertaking vocational and tertiary
studies that will contribute to addressing strategic
workforce goals for improving health service delivery and,
ultimately, health outcomes for Territorians.
Applicants are considered on merit. Enrolled Nurses
and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are
encouraged to apply. There will be two rounds of studies
assistance in 2014.
Applications for Round 1 close

My daily alcohol is now limited to:
Mid strength beer from 2pm-3pm, (ease in slow-
ly!) then full strength beer till 8pm!
And, two bottles of wine, and cask wine, and fortified
wine, and only one litre of bottled spirits!?
This is well over 100 standard drinks daily!
Please tell me how this huge consumption is for the
benefit and safety of the local community?
This massive alcohol intake will ensure that our
hospital is full, our renal unit is full, and jails are full!
This charade will continue as long as the fox is in
charge of the chicken coop.
