Meat IGA’s newest butcher graduate
1 min read

LAST Friday, after six long years and several challenges, Neville Holt received his Certificate III in Meat Processing and Meat Retail.

His certificate was presented by William Angliss trainer Trevor Edon, with IGA Store Manager Angus Harrison in attendance, along with some of Neville’s apprenticeship supporters.

Neville is immensely proud of completing the 44 theoretical and practical modules and hopes to encourage others, including his son, to pursue trade studies and build a long-term career.

Neville was born and raised in Tennant Creek. Six years ago, he did a course with Karen Sheldon Training in Tennant Creek, who then found him a job at the IGA.

After stacking shelves for a while, Neville started work in the butchery section of the store and began his apprenticeship.

“We are incredibly proud of Neville,” said Tennant Creek IGA Marketing Manager Andrew Hobers.

“I’m certain his success will make him a role model in the community.”
