Families flocked to a Children’s Day event at the Primary School on Tuesday to celebrate the region’s young Indigenous youth.
The event was organised by Connected Beginnings in conjunction with a myriad of local health and education providers to celebrate the strengths and talents of today’s young children.
Held as part of National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (NTSI) Children’s Day, participants browsed through the various stalls and took part in songs, games and received education activity bags for the kids.
The finishing touch to the event was to sate the hungry attendees’ hunger with a healthy barbecue.
