Local high schoolers practice small business skills with a market day
1 min read

FOR the past couple of years, local senior students have been participating in the Young Change Agent’s $20 Boss program, which gives students a chance to design and run their own small business, teaching them valuable skills for after their schooling finishes.

This year 40 students took part in the program, with ideas ranging from jewellery, bush medicine, stress balls, car wash, pop up coffee shop, leatherwork, and of course a diverse selection of sweet and savoury foods.

Wednesday morning the students set up their stalls for Market Day and the customers rolled in to see what the students had to offer.

Every stall had plenty of potential customers, and there were lots of happy customers to be seen carrying their purchases as they browsed the other stalls.

The students should be proud of their efforts and have a new batch of skills to help them in the future.
