THE Tourism Industry Roadshow rolled into Tennant Creek on Wednesday to update local operators regarding plans for the industry across the Territory.

With the pandemic border restrictions playing havoc on tourism numbers and local business hip pockets, the focus of the roadshow was to promote how to reinvigorate travel and how the Territory is still the best place to be advertised as the “go to” destination in social media, events and other marketing campaigns.

There was plenty of discussion about how the Barkly can improve on selling its product to support sustainable development in the tourism industry and entice visitors to stay that extra day.
