Cross country fun for students in Alpurrurulam
1 min read

BEAUTIFUL weather graced this year’s annual Alpurrurulam cross country, with all students keen to participate.

With three courses, 1km, 2km and 2.5km set up in the community for various age groups to run, we saw 100% participation.

The warm sandy track did not deter the students’ enthusiasm or some of the local dogs running the track alongside their owner.

Preschool to Year 2 students had their own obstacle cross-country event held within the grounds of the school.

Hopping, jumping, rolling, balancing, batting, crawling through a tunnel and the final obstacle, crawling under a camouflage net to the finish line. Parents and students cheered these students through the course with many photos and videos being recorded along the way.

Five Physical Literacy certificates were awarded to students who displayed Engagement, Enjoyment and Motivation and five certificates for Positive Mindset and Resilience.
