Elliott and Newcastle Waters canoe camp
1 min read

STUDENTS from Elliott and Newcastle Waters enjoyed a week on the beautiful waters of Longreach Waterhole.

The first day saw the older students canoe the younger students until there were calmer waters and finishing with a well-earned swim.

Later in the week the local police visited and spent a few hours on water canoeing with all the students.

They joined the students in various relay games and were a great benefit to the three teams participating in canoe basketball.

The last day was the calmest on the water, with the upper primary students venturing further down the waterway and enjoying the wildlife and banks of the stunning Longreach Waterway.

Once back at base camp they enjoyed a lovely cool swim, then worked exceptionally well to pack camp and all the canoes onto the trailers.
