Peko House victors of cross country event
1 min read

STUDENTS from Tennant Creek Primary took to the beautiful surroundings of Lake Mary Ann for this year’s Cross Country Event.

The path took them along the water’s edge, up and down hills and rocky paths.

Students who were 8-9 years old completed a 1.8km track while those aged 10-12 ran a 2.3km track.

Transition to Year 2 participated in a cross-country obstacle course on the school oval. Big smiles and lots of laughter filled the air as the students jumped hurdles, sack race, climbed under and over obstacles, batted balls, balanced giant eggs on spoons and turned into army commando crawling under a camouflage net before racing to the finish line.

Peko House was named champions at the end of the day, with Noble second and Juno third place.
