Easter at NADSCARE
1 min read

AT NADSCARE, we work with participants with various disabilities, some physical, some intellectual.

We are committed to providing meaningful activities for our participants, especially during special occasions like Easter.

These occasions offer us a unique opportunity to step beyond the routine and celebrate together. Our goal is not just to entertain, but to engage our participants in activities that are fun, interactive, and enriching.

To recognise Easter, we decided to bake some cookies to celebrate the occasion. Both staff and participants mixed up a sweet cookie recipe from scratch, engaging in the tactile exercise of rolling out the cookie dough, and pressing flat candies into the top to make Easter Bunny-shaped decorations, and baking them in the oven.

We managed to fill the cookie container to the brim and enjoy the treat of eating some of them warm straight out of the oven!

Home-baked treats are, of course, a delight for both participants and staff to enjoy the taste of.

More importantly, the exercise of actually making them together, the shared activity, the conversations held over the mixing bowl, the pleasure as they turn golden brown in the oven, the fun of offering them around on a plate, and the joy of sitting down at the table together afterwards, to indulge a cup of tea with a cookie on the side may be a simple pleasure, but to some of our participants, it is a moment full of laughter and joy, and the feeling of accomplishment!

Look out for more fun activities ahead!
