School sports legend survives horror rollover
1 min read

BARKLY school sports legend Pam Dillon, in a miraculous turn of events, is thanking her guardian angel for her survival in a rollover three hours from Tennant Creek recently.

The sports education teacher and RSL President, mascot Bernie the Eagle and her two dogs walked away from the wreckage.

Dillon said she suffered just four staples in her head.

“My Mum must have been watching over me,” said Dillon.

“Just my luck after all these years driving around the Barkly, and this happened on my last trip.”

Dillon will soon be leaving Tennant Creek and her role at the school.

“Thanks to the Tennant Times for letting me write in your edition – the kids loved seeing their schools in the paper and it really help spread the word of how good sport is for our Barkly students,” she said.
