WITH the Easter long weekend now upon us, Tennant Creek Police remind the community about ways to stay safe during the break. 

Given the adverse weather conditions recently, it is more important than ever to carefully check road conditions before travelling, as there may still be water on some roads, not to mention damage to road surfaces. Drivers are reminded to stick to speed limits and drive according to road conditions. 

Make sure to wear seatbelts and take regular breaks if driving long distances. 

While Easter is a time for celebration for some, it’s crucial to remember not to drink and drive.
