YOU couldn’t miss the high-vis presence of the coppers this week, targeting drivers for minor offences.

I get the feeling the officers were told to penalise everyone they could, to ensure they raised enough revenue to cover the cost of their trip from Darwin.

You’d think with the extra police power in town, the partying that has been going on 24-hours near the Pindari flats would be curbed.

But alas, the city coppers weren’t going to touch that police beat – just get the quick bucks from the locals on their way to work in the morning.

I’d be interested to know how much revenue this Tennant Creek trip raised.
